McCoy pitcher...

Just peeled two layers of latex paint off this! No wonder they painted it. Why they painted over the red and back to white????

Levi's 501's...

Here's the thing, I've always loved Levi's 501's. It wasn't until a while ago, that I really learned about them.

I recall in juniour high, when an individual in my sewing class pointed out that they were not manufacturing the redlines, any longer.

I've loved the silhouette of a nicely worn pair since I was in juniour high, when they were very popular here.

Partly preppy, partly greaser, or rocker. The 501's could be anything you wanted.

These days, I think of them in the terms I learned, Big E, red line, selvedge, and blue line. And not to be forgotten, Indigo!

I am actually sad that I have to look at the classic jeans in those terms. Learning about the collect ability of these jeans has made my judgmental nature take over. Now when I see someone wearing them, I wonder... Are they redline? Are they Big E's?

I am sad to know as much as I do, now. Every time I see someone wearing a pair, I can't help but look at them closer.

It shouldn't be about how old they are, it's the fit, the buttons, and the tab. And of course how the guy's butt looks in them!

City Liquidators trip...

I am a big fan of discount stores, junk shops, drug stores (especially the older ones), and hardware stores. I miss Newberry's and Woolworth's!

I kept driving by City Liquidators to my storage unit, so on the last trip moving out of there, I finally stopped!

It is a wonderland!

So much oddball stuff. Some old, some new. I almost felt like I was back in Newberry's!

They need to film something in this room. If they haven't already.

I wonder how many offices they bought out, to get this many?

He was funny, once. Now he's on sale!

Great patio decor. Spring is coming...

Too big for seasonal yard art, for me. He'd have to live year round wherever I put him. Unless I get that Chalet...

Mod...

If only...

I want these all over the front yard! (To annoy the humourless neighbour that complained about my Flamingoes) I wonder if there is a discount for buying them all?

So inexpensive, I wouldn't care if they ran.

Makes me wish for the old bonnet dryer I was stuck in as a kid. Unfortunately, the ones I find are usually crumbling, or falling apart in some way.
